Elder Abuse Advocacy & Support Services
Advocates provide immediate direct assistance in aiding victims in obtaining medical care, interacting with criminal justice system, referrals to local resources and legal support agencies, threat assessments, assistance filing for victim compensation, safety planning and obtaining family violence protection orders, stalking orders and sexual assault protection orders.
Self Help Center Resource Center
Our highly-trained advocates are available 24/7 to talk confidentially with victims or friends and family of victims experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and elder abuse. This service links victims directly to an advocate who provides support, resources and information to callers, and arranges or provides in-person support of victims at the hospital or assist victims with shelter services. Our hotline is also available for emergency service to clients of programs of the Self Help Center.
Youth Prevention & Education Programs
The Self Help Center violence prevention program or PAVE (People Against Violence Everywhere) takes a multifaceted approach to reducing violence among students and future adults. It uses several tactics to achieve this goal.
Substance Abuse Services
The Addiction Severity Index (ASI) is a semi-structured interview of about 200 questions that is designed to address seven potential problem areas in patients who are struggling with substance abuse. This test is designed to assist clients in helping determine the best option of treatment/ care for the client. ASI's are available daily with prior notice.
